Best Beers of 2010
When it comes to beer, there is a dizzying array of options. So much so that it can be hard to decide which suds should fill your glass. Luckily, we’ve got you covered. This year, we surveyed the top 250 rated beers on BeerAdvocate and compiled them into one handy list to help you find your next favorite sip.
We’ve also highlighted a few notable beers that stand out above the rest. Heady Topper, an 8% IPA from Vermont’s Alchemist Brewing, is arguably the most coveted beer in America. Beer lovers are known to line up for hours ahead of store openings to get a can or two of the brew. The beer, named for its unique brewing process that includes adding hops late in the brewing cycle, is said to have bold flavor dripping with grapefruit, orange, and tropical fruits.
Another notable brew is Weldwerks Brewing’s take on the New England-style IPA, Juicy Bits. The brew’s citrus and tropical fruit hop profile is said to be like drinking juice with extra pulp. And finally, a beer that is brewed to be as eye-catching as it is delicious is Cigar City’s Passionfruit and Dragonfruit Berliner Weisse. The brew’s neon pink hue and taste is described as being almost Sci Fi-like, thanks to the beer’s unique blend of flavors and aromas.
